Reading

1. Reading questions can be vague sometimes.

Questions may contain confusing answers- most of the time 2 possible answers- so make sure to read thoroughly and give time for reading tasks.

2. You don't have to do all readings.

Most of the time, the teacher will cover it in the lecture if the material is from the textbook; but reading ahead will give you an advantage, so if you do have time to spare, make sure to read everything thoroughly.

3. Read widely.

Read all sorts of writings- fiction, non-fiction, articles, blog posts, etc. If you read frequently, you will get used to reading different styles of writing and when you have to face reading questions in tests or in class, you'll be able to process the information a lot faster.

4. Don't just read.

Take active notes and try to re-write what you have read in your own words, so that you can understand and retain the information much more efficiently.

Writing

1. Cultivate a flexible writing style.

Find out the type of style you like. After finding out your style, alter it in a way so that you'll be able to implement the writing style in whatever writing tasks and whatever forms- informal or formal- you face.

2. Make writing become a habit.

Whenever you get a chance or whenever you have something cool pop up in your imagination, try to see how you can turn that into a short story. It can just be a paragraph long. You improve your skills by doing it consistently and writing is no exception. Write, write, write and your writing style will improve by itself overtime.

3. Read widely, again.

Read varieties of written works, that way you'll be able to find the style of an author you enjoy and actually implement it in your own writing.

4. Practice typing fast.(Optional, for Online Education)

Many of us learn and take classes online nowadays so when you do have to write, instead of with a pen, you will be writing with a keyboard. That means that you need to practice your typing. You will not have enough time and you cannot work to your potential if you are struggling too much with typing your words out. That is why it is recommended for you to improve your typing speed. Use websites like https://www.monkeytype.com/ or https://wwww.10fastfingers.com/. By developing a fast typing speed, you'll gain an advantage over others and you will be able to write more easily online.

Listening

1. Consume entertainment that revolves around the language you want to improve.

The more you listen, the more you get familiar with the language and the words, and the more efficiently you'll be able to understand what someone is speaking.

2. In listening tests, pay attention to the question.

Give attention to the sentences and phrases on the paper, thereby you'll be able to listen more carefully at what will actually be asked when the audio plays.

3. Listen to and watch lectures and presentations

Close your eyes, do not open subtitles and get familiar with the language and the words. Progress is slow at first, but at a certain point, you will progress much faster and become very used to the language.

Speaking

1. Don't be afraid to speak.

All the mistakes you made will make you know what you need to improve at. This can and will help you improve faster.

2. Listen to and watch lectures and presentations....again.

When you do that though, the main point is by analyzing how their body movement is and how their speech is. Where do they emphasize their words, how do they capture viewers' attention, which parts did you like best about them? Take note of these and apply them slowly and slowly when you speak.

3. Just...talk.

The most effective and essential thing, of course, is to simply speak and talk in the language you want to master speaking. If you don't try, nothing will improve. You can listen to tens of lectures, hundreds of songs and movies, know thousands of words and if you don't speak, you will not improve speaking. Remember, to be able to speak well, you must speak first.
